You will need to provide some basic information including your name, date of birth and Cigna ID. This information is used to process your claim. If you do not know what your Cigna ID is, go to your myCigna account and select “ID Cards.” Your subscriber ID can be found on your dental ID card.
Dentists can address a variety of concerns including tooth and gum pain, inflammation, infection, chipped or broken teeth and more. Cigna customers on an employer-sponsored group plan and their enrolled dependents can use Cigna Dental Virtual Care.* Children under the age of 18 can be seen, but a parent or guardian over the age of 18 must be on the video call with the child. *Due to laws governing teledentistry, this program is unavailable to residents of Texas.
There are no out-of-pocket costs to you for a Cigna Dental Virtual Care visit.* These visits also don’t count against any frequency limitations on your plan. This means if your plan allow a maximum of two exams per year, this visit does not count toward that maximum. *Virtual visits do count toward your annual plan dollar maximum, if applicable. This means if you have already reached your annual dollar maximum, your claim will be processed accordingly and you may owe for the cost of the exam.
